“See you Sunday!”
A few of the most popular questions I get every week!
“By popular demand, my website is back online, now featuring even more photos! You'll find a mix of new, old, and some never before seen shots. Hope you enjoy exploring!“
“That's a great question! These are indeed pictures, not paintings. Photography has advanced to a point where images can be incredibly lifelike, capturing details that sometimes make them look almost surreal or like painted artwork. The lighting, composition, and editing techniques can all contribute to that painterly effect.”
“Some of my images are shot on film, and it’s not just about the camera. I have used a Canon 5D MKII, Canon 6D, Sony A7R IV, Hasselblad 503CX (film), and Hasselblad XPan (film). Even my iPhone comes in handy when needed. For aerial shots, I use a DJI Mavic 2 Pro with a Hasselblad lens. Most of my lenses are wide-angle, and I print my work on an Epson 8070 large-format printer with fade-resistant pigment inks.”
“There are limitations on the size of prints I can offer. For anything over 2 meters, resolution may become an issue. Additionally, my printer has a maximum width of 44 inches. Framing large pieces can also be challenging, and transport companies typically avoid handling larger items."
”All of my images are carefully processed in Adobe Lightroom to ensure they print with the highest quality. Many of these photos are composed of multiple layers, which are combined to enhance depth, color, and detail, creating a more vivid and immersive experience.”
“I’ve completed a range of courses, including a BA in Photography from RMIT, a Graphic Design Diploma from Chisholm, and a short course in Multimedia at Holmesglen. My passion for photography began in primary school when I first picked up my dad’s Box Brownie, and I haven’t stopped since! After finishing my studies, I explored various avenues, from markets to commercial photography and working in a portrait studio. I also filmed races and handled photo-finish back when film was the standard. Additionally, I spent a couple of years working for CSIRO and did freelance work in graphic design.”
